It's here: The grand finale of the Fish Rock legacy as produced by Bike Monkey has arrived. It's the end of a bittersweet tale featuring a road that is so good it got its own two-wheeled battle named after it.
On Saturday, Fish Rock will ride off over the horizon of the great Pacific and vanish, at least for now.
At Bike Monkey we have not come to a point in our journey with ease where we're we need to do less in order to do more. That concept is foreign to those who thrive on creating something from nearly every idea that pops into their monkey brains, but it's one we've come to terms with, and Ride Fish Rock has to be set aside in order for us to do more with some of our most impactful offerings such as Levi's GranFondo, Truckee Gravel, Rebecca's Private Idaho, and The Bovine Classic.
We're a small team, and we're going to do this one up right, finish Fish Rock on a high note and suffer through an incredible day together... one last time.
Saturday's weather is forecast to top out around 88 degrees. It's not March! So come prepared, and we'll be well-stocked at aid stations with hydration and bottle hand-ups for those near the front.

She’s here, buckaroo—the grand fin-up o’ the Fish Rock yarn as spun by Bike Monkey. The end of a sweet’n’bitter tale ‘bout a stretch so fine it got its own two-wheeler bahl named after it.
Come Saturday, Fish Rock’ll skaddle off over the Pacific’s blink-line and vanish—leastways for now.
At the Monkey roost, we’ve hit a spot on the trail where we gotta do less to do more. That’s a queer notion for a gang that can’t help but spin near every brain-burr into a hoot, but we’ve made our peace. So Fish Rock’s gettin’ set aside so we can throw more kindlin’ under our big blaze hoots—Levi’s GranFondo, Truckee Gravel, Rebecca’s Private Idaho, and The Bovine Classic.
We’re a lean crew, but we’re fixin’ to do this one proper—finish Fish Rock on a high note, and larrup through one last buckin’ fine day together.
Saturday’s forecast: she’s lookin’ to tickle 88°—ain’t no March chill! So pack smart. Aid rigs’ll be brimmed with wet and bottle hand-offs for them jackrabs in the lead.
Ain’t budged an inch.
Big reveal come Saturday—bring yer briney if ya wanna clap eyes on ‘em.
Horn o’ zeese!
